바이오-AI 융합학과는 생명·의료 분야의 전문성과 인공지능, 데이터 기술을 다학제적 교수진과 함께 유기적으로 통합하는 교육 및 연구 환경을 제공하고 있습니다.

또한 영상 AI 기반 병리 진단, 디지털 트윈 기반 진단 플랫폼, 유전체 빅데이터 분석, 희귀질환 디지털 헬스케어 등 실제 임상 및 연구 현장과 긴밀히 연계된 심화 교육과정을 통해 혁신적인 변화를 선도하고 있습니다.

원주세브란스기독병원의 첨단 의료 인프라를 기반으로 국민건강보험공단, 건강보험심사평가원, 국립과학수사연구원, 지역 의료기기 기업 등과의 산학협력 네트워크를 구축하고 있으며, 이를 통해 연구부터 산업화까지 전 주기 경험을 제공함으로써 지역 혁신을 선도하고 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 융합형 인재를 양성하고자 합니다.

Artificial intelligence and digital technologies are rapidly dissolving the boundaries between medicine and life sciences, bringing the bio-health field to a fundamental turning point unlike any before.

The Department of Bio-AI Convergence offers an educational and research environment that integrates expertise in life sciences and medicine with artificial intelligence and data technologies, supported by a multidisciplinary faculty. Through advanced coursework closely tied to real clinical and research settings — including imaging AI-based pathology diagnosis, digital twin diagnostic platforms, genomic big data analysis, and rare disease digital healthcare — our department is actively leading transformative change in the field.

Building on the advanced medical infrastructure of Wonju Severance Christian Hospital, we have established an industry-academic partnership network with the National Health Insurance Service, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, the National Forensic Service, and regional medical device companies. Through this network, we provide students with end-to-end experience spanning research through commercialization, with the goal of driving regional innovation and cultivating convergence-oriented talent with global competitiveness.
